Bosnia and Herzegovina possesses a comprehensive legal and regulatory framework for public procurement, consisting of one law, the Public Procurement Law (ZJN), and 20 sub-legal acts. This complex system is largely aligned with the legislation of the European Union.

With amendments to the Public Procurement Law in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the foundation is laid for the improvement of key aspects of public procurement in the country. These changes aim to increase the transparency of the process, streamline the requirements for bidder participation, reduce the possibility of bid rejection due to technical or formal errors, and enhance digitization in the field of public procurement.

Participating as a foreign company

The Public Procurement Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina is aligned with the directives of the European Union on public procurement. Therefore, all companies who are entitled to bid in the EU can do so in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well.
